I walk around a lot at night and it seems like there are more than ever. It was easier to avoid the tents but now it's all out in the open in all of the parks and on the street. No idea what OP is talking about.

Lol, DCUM loves fascism because they're scared of the homeless.

LOL at calling anyone wanting an orderly society without people nodding off on fentanyl in public parks everywhere a fascist. You should travel more. There are a lot of non fascist countries in the developed world that don’t tolerate this level of crime and disorder. Japan and Singapore aren’t fascist. Neither are Switzerland and Denmark.

Oh look a law and order republican who supports Trump and Epstein. It’s like watching to catch a predator as the pervert says he supports law and order. Just disgusting

Why would assume PP is a Republican who supports Trump? There are Democrats who are very pro law and order as well. Every Democrat isn’t some left wing nutjob. See Bill Maher. See Rahm Emanuel. See Barack Obama. See James Carville.

+1 The Kennedy Center area and Watergate area is cleared of the encampments. It feels much safer to walk around now.

And where have these citizens gone?

The parks. It feels safer for people driving in from the suburbs, not residents.

It's all a show. Now they have no tents for inclement weather.

You realize nobody had tents 6 years ago, before COVID?

Gee, what other kind of laws do those countries have in place that lead to lower violent crime? Gun laws.

FFS.

What do gun laws have to do with it being socially acceptable in Japan to let your 6 year olds ride public transit by themselves?

What do gun laws have to do with there not being homeless encampments everywhere in Tokyo?

Japan is a society that doesn’t tolerate nonsense and disorder. It has very little to do with gun laws.

The post I was replying to specifically mentions "crime." You are crazy if you think gun laws aren't relevant.

Public libraries everywhere always have homeless people inside. Before and now.

Haven’t read this whole chain, but it’s noticeably worse on my commute from Columbia Heights to Woodley Park metro. Assume it’s people who’ve been cleared out elsewhere.

Please stop with your BS. I bike that area. The homeless are just walking around when the Feds show up and once they are gone they return to the same areas. The Feds are just stealing homeless people’s shit.

And reselling it on the black market to pay for the fuel we need to keep the stealth tanks running.
