Not a good look for Jeffries. He should be attacking those in charge of directing federal officers and not the officers themselves. This is like taking frustrations out on the poor Russina soldiers instead of Putin.

Jeffries is not a strong leader. If he were he would stand up to the far left in his party. Instead he has allowed them to take control of it. Things don’t look good for democrats.

He's a better leader than Trump or Biden but that isn't saying much.

Democrats need to read the freaking room.

During the campaign season, I didn't give a single shit about Beyoncé being Team Harris. Taylor Swift could kick rocks. Kamala being "Brat" and "coconut" was stupid as hell. That kind of giggling campaign is for good times.

Life has sucked badly for most Americans for a long time. Harris wasn't channeling that energy. She looked rich, unbothered, gleeful - like she needed to go hang out with Gwyneth Paltrow and let somebody who gets it handle the country.

The majority of the electorate isn't in our early 20s. We don't find it cute to see a candidate staging stupid concerts we can't afford and making appearances on podcasts with dumb, giggling blondes. For that matter, even the kids in their early 20s have been angry and depressed for years.

Harris's whole knockoff Obama vibes-based campaign wasn't getting it. This isn't 2007 when everyone was still living in grand houses we couldn't afford with no idea of what was around the corner. Obama could sell us hope before we knew just how bad things were going to get and that we really did need to abandon all hope.

Trump, in contrast, was giving angry, vengeful, sick of this shit. That's where a lot of us are and have been. I used to be perky, but Covid school shutdowns cost me my job and life has just been a series of blows after that. I wake up tired most days. Trump looked tired too. His problems are self-inflicted, but he looked like somebody who had been going through it for four years and was ready to come out swinging. I really don't think Democrats understand how much that counted for a lot of people in the nation who just have nothing left.

Even now, Democrats are talking about everything Trump is doing and it really is bad. However, a lot of people in this country are about to keel over from exhaustion. We can't keep up with 50 different reasons why Trump is a fascist and we need to march every weekend.

Yeah, the Democratic messaging right now seems to be “haha ur struggling lol” on one hand and on the other “omg we will die to make sure trans girls who want to compete against the girls get that chance slay ladies.”

It’s not a great look.

It’s funny when Americans are financially struggling! Because they didn’t vote for Kamala! lol!

Americans were struggling under Biden, and all we got was The Best Economy Ever™️, inflation is transitory, and the border is secure gaslighting.

Agree. Once we can put the gloomy days of Trump and Biden behind us, we can all come together as one proud nation.

Hell no. This is a cultural civil war as deep as Shiite vs Sunni. Either we devolve power to local jurisdictions where people have common values, or we start shooting each other. There will never be a united “America” again.

Democrats think it is none of our business what pronouns people use. Why do you care so much? You don’t have to like it, but that doesn’t mean you need to run to the feds. Maybe you work with someone who uses they/them and you don’t want to comply. Ok, fine. It is actually pretty easy to avoid third person pronouns all together. I have relatives you don’t want to use they/them for a non-binary relative. They just avoid it by using their name all the time. So maybe try that simple solution rather than pushing for legislation?

There’s been very few cases of trans women competing in HS sports. Why shouldn’t this be handled locally on a case-by-case basis? There are many factors that should be considered, such as hormone levels. It simply isn’t a an issue that is prevalent enough to need federal attention. It especially shouldn’t be a major factor in determining who you vote for.

I keep hearing republicans talk about all these little girls being raped by trans women in public restrooms. Personally, I have never heard of this happening. Maybe we can get some numbers to compare sexual assaults in bathrooms carried out by cis men vs trans women? Why do we not care about little boys being assaulted in men’s restrooms?

Republicans need to learn to deal with things without running to their orange god to make all their problems go away. Please. Go back to being the party of small government. Stop running to Daddy Warbucks every time you encounter someone different from you.

Your old talking points didn't work and these new ones about "local" handling of your regressive agenda won't work either. No, we're not going to leave your agenda to the local level that you can more easily co-opt now that you have lost the nation as a whole after years of misusing federal mechanisms for trans overreach. Right is right and wrong is wrong and men in women's spaces and sports is wrong. It needs to end locally, federally, everywhere. We're not negotiating a middle ground with you any more than we're negotiating with the local pedophile a number between the 0 we prefer and the 100 he prefers for a middle ground on how many children he gets to molest. He gets 0, you get a firm no on picking taxpayers' pockets to pay for men's breast implants and everything else you claim is a trans right, and you can both deal.

Also, you know that the 79% of Americans who openly reject your agenda admit despite your emotional blackmail are on both sides of the aisle. This isn't a Republican issue any more than the trans agenda is a human rights issue. This is about reality and beating back your cabal of highly organized grifters who have taken America for a ride for way too long.

The 2026 and 2028 elections will not be about trans, though we appreciate that Republicans will do everything in the power to make it so. So in any event, you typed a lot of irrelevant words...

If you don’t think voters are paying attention to the awards podiums in states like California, Washington and Maine, where girl athletes are walking away rather than stand next to trans winners claiming the trophies, you are going to be as surprised in 2026 and 2028 as you were when Trump was reelected.

This was a top 3 issue for the swing voters who elected Trump in 2024.

Maybe, maybe not but one thing we know for sure is the 2028 election will be a referendum on Trump. If Trump's second term evolves to where he is viewed much more favorably than he was in 2020 or Biden was in 2024, the GOP nominee will have a chance in 2028. If Trump's second term evolves the way 99% of presidential terms would evolve with an 80 year old in office, the Dem nominee will be heavily favored. It's as simple as that.

Well said.

Why is it well said? Point to a local election where Republicans have done well after Trump got elected.
