Those things happen at like 4pm, it's a lot of standing around posing for photos and then some of those people watch the movie (many don't!) and some people have cocktails afterwards (many also don't!). It's like a workplace networking event, not a party. I have been to numerous and most are pretty boring and about as raucous as like the parents' weekend reception your freshman year of college. It's not like they went out clubbing.
That said, my first thought when I saw this photo was: oh that's "My much younger second wife just had my baby and I'm really proud of my sperm today" face. Like I chuckled because I have seen that look before. Men are such basic creatures.

I don’t judge her for being out after having the baby either. But let’s be so for real. Justin Theroux has really nothing to do with this movie. It is an iconic movie and people are there for Meryl, Anne, Stanley, Emily. He has a bit part and he was not part of the original.
So she absolutely didn’t have to go to this and she did - again no judgment about the baby, but I just find it funny because someone upthread was talking about how Justin is an actor’s actor and not in it for celebrity he’s all about his craft. These two are the most fame hungry pair I’ve ever seen and that’s more why I find it interesting.

Something is definitely wrong with his face. Even his eyes look smaller.
Smaller eyes is from filler.

I’m not a big fan of age gaps. It’s not like I think they should be outlawed or anything just that I think there are a lot of trade-offs. Agree that people can do what they want.
The thing is, age gaps are much more prevalent in celebrity circles than in the average population. Statistically most heterosexual couples are within three years of each other (about two thirds) with something like around 90% being within less than 10 years. Age gaps of more than 10 years and especially when you get to 15 to 20 or quite rare. Less than 1% of the population has a 20 year or more each gap.
But we tend to see them more in celebrity circles. In this case, I don’t think Nicole is thinking through about the trade-offs, which is that she’s having kids with a much older man and what 20 years from now is going to look like. If you really love someone I think you can overcome that, but I think the vibe of this thread is that these two are major fame and publicity chasers and that neither one has a great track record. She broke off an engagement for Justin and he’s a known serial cheater and has dated girls just out of their teens when he’s been in his 40s, which is gross. And the fact that he’s done so much weird stuff to his face means he’s not exactly in a good place.
So yeah, there’s gonna be some judgment. I am sure in real life there are age gaps that work out. But this is just an illustration of so much that is wrong with celebrity culture.
