Is VDA allowing play up?
Right, I didn’t say it was impossible, just very rare. Very few kids play up on vda today, so no different except it’s harder because level of play is increasing per age group.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It seems very rare that they would allow this, just like today.Anonymous wrote:Which clubs are allowing players to play up after the age change?

This may be helpful:
"Q9: Can my child still "play up" with an older age group/team?
A: Yes, the option to "play up" based on skill level and developmental readiness will still be available, as determined
by the club and coaches. However, we want to be clear that this will not be based on request but through the
recommendations made by our coaches and technical staff directly to the player and family.
● Important Note: The decision to play up will be a technical staff decision based on a player's skill,
maturity, and long-term development—not solely based on wanting to play with friends who are in a
higher grade."

It takes VDA a few years. They are playing teams that have been playing together since U9. SYC, NVA and Union (old McLean), have always been good. VDA needs time to bring a team together. Also, as they get older, girls will move to the team. This is why you see VDA older years as dominant and younger years mid table.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:How is the VDA 2013G team performing, and how is their coach? I’m looking for some insight.
Watched them against NVA, couldn’t really keep up. Most of the game looked more like kickball than soccer, though they did have one decent player. That player pool Bobby brought over from St. James in the older age groups…Definitely not showing up in the younger ones anymore. lol
Right now, the top three teams are NVA, SYC, and Union.
they didn’t really show up in the older groups either. But ill let you tell it. The kids may be having problems playing between the lines right now but they will pick it up eventually. They will have to as game speed picks up.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:How is the VDA 2013G team performing, and how is their coach? I’m looking for some insight.
