We tried out for the clubs when DD was 11 with only a year of rec experience. We made the 2's team and even though it was a lot of money, the local tournament experience and the 2x a week practice really helped to improve her game. Something to think about if maybe she wants to try out for a 2/3 team for a club.

Sometimes offers come later if you are the alternate though. It is stressful, so have her think carefully and be sure before accepting. My DD regretted accepting her choice too early last year and got caught up with feeling desperate to take something. It really is okay to wait.
Just tell the others no after you accepted one and certainly don’t go to more tryouts after you said yes to a club.
Thank you!! She's leaning towards this club that made the offer but she really lies the other two clubs as well so she wants to see what happens before she makes her decision.

From experience, phone call right away if they really want you with an email after tryouts. Email too if they really want you within the hour after tryouts.

Basic question from a newbie: how are offers made? Email? Phone call? Text? I think one of the clubs told us that we have to login to their portal or an app. I just don’t want to accidentally miss a communication

But once she makes her decision, she should let all of the clubs know asap her decision. Other girls are waiting as alternates. That’s the right thing to do here.

Wait. You don’t have to give them any answer until Tues night and she can go to the other clubs and see if she gets an offer from them and compare. She shouldn’t feel any pressure to respond if she is interested in the other clubs also. Congratulations to your daughter!

My daughter tried out for one of her top clubs last night and we just got the email offer of acceptance this morning. She still has 2 more clubs sje is trying out for today and tomorrow. She is also interested in those clubs as well. What is the etiquette here? Do we respond and acknowledge the email offer of just wait? Thanks in advance!

Adding to above, if you know callbacks were given and she didn’t get one then don’t wait. Go to other tryouts if she wants to play. Time to move on.

It could mean she didn’t get it a spot or they are waiting to see if others reject the offers. Which club? We can give you more specific info so you have realistic expectations and can plan accordingly.
My DD had a hard time last year with U14 but found a spot. I wish you all the best of luck this weekend and hope it’s not too stressful for the girls.

This is not public information, but coaches and club owners often brag about the number of players at their tryouts. But you should take those numbers with a grain of salt because about a third of the players in each tryout are not competitive. If players were more self-aware, they would make better decisions about what clubs to try out for.
