I don't believe it's causing nearly as many problems as you think it is. But if that's your narrative...
The schools, please look at the schools...some are literally no go zones for families.
(sigh) all right. Please tell us why schools are so bad.
Move to Arkansas and remind yourself why schools are "bad"
Republicans have been underfunding public schools for decades. It’s how they’ve been fighting desegregation.

Simple - large numbers of non-English speaking students are overwhelming schools. It is costing a huge amount in taxes to educate these students and takes time and focus away from other students. English speakers (typically citizens) are avoiding a number of the high schools in FCPS.
Justice High School - 41% ESL
Falls Church High School - 37.5% ESL
Lewis High School - 37.5% ESL
Annandale High School - 35.5% ESL
Herndon High School - 31.5% ESL
Mt. Vernon High School - 25% ESL
West Potomac High School - 21% ESL
Edison High School - 18% ESL
To many people these schools are dead in the water because they have to spend so much time on ESL students and the chances of having advanced classes are diminished.

Republicans have nothing but lies and gaslighting.
Hardly “this one sign.” Try: over a hundred-year history of democrats supporting segregation, racism, white supremacy, violation of The Civil Rights Act, etc.
Right up to today.
Thanks for proving my point.
Republicans are dishonest POSs.
I don't disagree that Republicans are dishonest, but this assertion by PP:
Try: over a hundred-year history of democrats supporting segregation, racism, white supremacy, violation of The Civil Rights Act, etc.
is factual.
Democrats don't like it, but that doesn't change its veracity.

Oh please. The only one I know well is West Po, but as a percentage of classes offered, it has significantly more advanced and honors classes than it did 20 years ago when the percentage of ESL was lower. In real dollars, the median income per family has increased, too. The addition of esl resources is not detracting from anything for a high achieving student there.
Given the fact that the F/R lunch rate at West Potomac was 30% in 2005 and is now 42%, I think we can say that the school has definitely become poorer. And the cause of that is not manifestation of home grown poverty, but the importing of poverty primarily from Central America.

Honest question- how would anyone know the immigration status of these kids?

Correction: They like it. They just don't like it when someone points it out.
