Beyonce has had a much larger effect on Jay-Z than he has on her
He’s 20 years older than her , lived his teens away from home and on the street, sold drugs for a decade and never got caught or killed , can rhyme off the top of his head making analogies to everything from jazz, politics, books and medieval history which means he is seemingly well read and or at least has intellectual curiosity and multitudes to him . Beyoncé is the total opposite of him .
She was a sheltered stage pony for mommy and daddy .
There’s a very telling clip of Jay Z before dating Beyonce where he is asked what he likes in a woman and he said someone sharp with a quick wit is essential because he hates conversation with goofy /ditzy girls.
He was also apolitical, uncharitable, misogynistic, and still clinging to vestiges of street life. I say this as a huge Jay Z fan, but Beyonce had a big impact on his maturation and worldview. It's very dismissive to think Beyonce is a vapid simpleton because she doesn't share or emote much publicly.
She is a vapid simpleton and you could tell that by her disastrous interviews that her PR team had to stop and her foray into movies. She insulted Diana Ross saying the character she played in Dreamgirls wasn’t anything like her because she couldn’t sing well and was unglamorous/too thin. She did the same thing with her role as Etta James saying the character was ghetto, a hot drugged out mess , and not like her at all. Those two women were alive when she said this. She also said her father isn’t a Joe Jackson because they didn’t grow up in the ghetto and he never tried to get the family out of poverty. This was a comment in Essence Magazine that Janet was apparently was very hurt by . Michael died like months after this and she nor her husband were rightfully not allowed at his memorial service . Mariah sang the tribute.
I missed her insulting DR. Running to find that interview. How nasty

It may help for some of you to just start with Wikipedia on Cowboy Carter?
As a child she attended the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo every year with her family wearing western clothing. She performed at the Rodeo four times between 2001 and 2007.
Beyoncé's first notable association with country music came in 2007, when she performed a bluegrass-inspired version of her hit "Irreplaceable" with country duo Sugarland at the American Music Awards.
She first released an original country song in 2016 with the song "Daddy Lessons" on her album Lemonade.
Beyoncé, with the Chicks (who had previously covered the song), performed it at the 50th Annual Country Music Association Awards on November 2, 2016. The performance received critical acclaim and gave the CMA Awards their HIGHEST viewership figures in history; however, some country music fans criticized Beyoncé's attendance and felt she did not belong in the genre.
The CMA deleted ALL promotional posts about Beyoncé's performance, succumbing to the pressure in an attempt to prevent backlash against the organization.

Beyonce has been country, and certainly meets the criteria by any stretches of the DCUM imagination.
She has likely attended more rodeos than you, and if not she has performed at more rodeos. Definitely more AMAs and CMAs, no?
And while she has faced discrimination, do you know what Linda Martell was bombarded with? Do you know what it means for Linda Martell to be on this album with Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson?
Oh, and NO ONE is up in arms about Dolly Parton! Boycott Dollywood is not a battle cry lol. She is literally treated like royalty here and has a pristine reputation.
I am not a super fan of Beyoncé. But the DCUM minimizing and erasure of her knowledge and participation in this area of music is mind boggling. And I won’t venture to guess why….so I will suggest you consider lyrics from Willie Nelson on Smoke Hour II:
“You're turned into KNTRY Radio Texas, home of the real deal
And if there’s one thing you can take away from my set today, let it be this:
Sometimes you don't know what you like until someone you trust turns you on to some real good sh*t
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I'm here
Up next on "The Smoke Hour" is, "JUST FOR FUN" by Beyoncé
You’re welcome”
Yeah, people being dismissive are forgetting where Beyonce is from.
Beyonce arriving at the Houston rodeo to perform.

he still seems misogynistic.
Seems? Please, the stripper poles that J Lo wriggled all over at her Super Bowl half time show were compliments of J dickhead. Yes, he has singled handily degraded the biggest commercial event of the year with his misognyism. No holding back here, he is evil and disgusting.

+1 Remember when a shop clerk in Switzerland refused to show Oprah a bag because it was "too expensive" for her? The Swiss tourism board issued a public apology to Oprah for the incident.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Hot take:
Beyoncé has been famous and living a privileged life thanks to Jay Z since she was a teen, and therefore hasn’t experienced any real struggles or racism.
Yet she must double down on such things to create connections with and ultimately manipulate her fans.
It’s all fake. She really hasn’t lived or experienced much of anything.
She’s just a pop star, really.
Who the eff are you and how would you know what racism Beyonce has expo?
Get a brain. You think because people have money and financial success they don’t or have not experienced racism?
You have to be stupid.
