Seems like an important piece of information in this whole deal….especially with new registering affiliation with US Soccer.
Absolutely correct.
Unfortunately most of the ECNL cult parents who post online have no clue how boys youth soccer works.
With boys MLSN is the top dog and other leagues exist but aren’t as high of quality.
Finally someone who might know what they are talking about. All these recent additions which I agree look fantastic from the girls perspective of ECNL, what you all are missing is that this is an attempt by ECNL to fight and bolster up their boys programs to stay relevant, and has almost nothing to do with any competiion with or from GA. MLSN is operating like ECNL does not exsist, and what you are seeing on the girls side is that GA is beginning to act accoridngly. Perplexing? Yes, GA is no where near the level or influence in the market as MLSN but what if a girls league did start operating that way and became the NWSLN for girls. Not saying that is happening, just saying that the structure is currently being set for this to occur in the future organically. ECNL will be the brand to play college soccer, very profitable business and happy consumers because college's coaches need players, and parents want to post IG college sweatshirt photo shoots to their followers. MLSN and GA/or future home to NWLSN academies, will be the brand to maximize your soccer development to be evaluated as a porfessional, while participating in traditional showcases to be seen by college coaches. Tell me where I'm wrong? Which one would you choose?

Anonymous wrote:The problem with MLSN is that they’re trying to be neutral in the youth soccer league wars. MLSN doesn’t care if clubs have ECNL boys or girls they just want a league with appropriate competition. ECNL is tieing boys and girls ECNL together. This means if a club doesn’t have MLSN then ECNL with both girls and boys might make more money. If a club has MLSN and ECNL doesn’t allow then to have either boys or girls it leaves clubs with GA for girls. Eventually MLSN will need to take a more proactive position.
Tieing two different products in a sale and forcing someone to buy both if they want one is illegal. But someone or a group specifically harmed would have to bring ECNL to court to address.

well…..Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The trend we've seen recently is the ECNL welcoming some of the best clubs in the nation, while the GA is welcoming, at best, mediocre clubs with no real track record, but infrastructures and visions.
LOL. What else was the GA press release going to say about accepting a club whose teams are consistently at the bottom of their brackets in EDP and NCSL? They were never going to admit, "Revolution has no business being in the GA but Christian promised they were going to bring in a bunch of FCV players so we're holding our noses on the off chance that that materializes".

Depending on the area of the country they were from, the ECNL-RL team would probably be favorites.
How out of touch are you? If you’re on something, I need to know because I want to be on it too.
GA champ would go toe to toe with ECNL NL champ.
No. The other PP was over the top saying RL would be GA champs. But GA chanps could not play with teams like Solar.
The trend we've seen recently is the ECNL welcoming some of the best clubs in the nation, while the GA is welcoming, at best, mediocre clubs with no real track record, but infrastructures and visions. So, four years into the GA experiment, their hopes of the GA being what the DA once was have dwindled. Now these former DA clubs are realizing that the GA clearly plays second fiddle to the ECNL today and don't see that changing any time soon. More top clubs will soon follow suite, which will bleed the GA from a ton of talent. GA will still exist, for the time being. But as more and more top clubs continue to withdraw from the GA, it will spurn the continued ascension of the ECNL-RL past the GA in terms of competition and relevancy as these clubs put their talented B teams there.
