The decoration is not that nice and the layout feels “off”, the signage is not clear and the prices are high. I have been there twice and the last time I reflected I would rather eat at a proper restaurant if I’m spending that much. I never returned.
I think the problem is that you can only access from Wisconsin Avenue and it’s confusing when you see doors around it but there is no access. When I first read about it, the speakeasy sounded cool but I never found it when I visited.

I think that shopping center should bring back Le Pain Quotidien. It was always full.

Trader Joe’s is opening across Wisconsin Avenue in a month or two.

Rumor has it that that big box Trone wine store is opening at Mazza but neighbors don’t want it and are protesting due to the impact on Rodman’s, Magruder’s and that wine store down by Van Ness.

Very welcome news re: the Trader Joe’s. I’m really looking forward to having a TJ’s that I can walk to — and a neighborhood option for groceries that is not owned by Amazon.

As an update, the Heights Food Hall was pretty empty the last two times I went there, and my favorite stall — Supreme Barbecue— has closed. I continue to be disappointed that the management never really reached out to the neighborhood to promote what they offer. If you build it, we will come — but only if we know what you offer and that you’re open. Sigh.

That food hall will be closed within a year, I'm going to guess. It's been completely empty every time I've checked it out. It's a terrible location with almost zero visibility to anyone who doesn't live in one of the surrounding buildings.

Not quite FH but my first after school job was at the Tenleytown Papa Johns, beneath the "floatation spa." My manager was a frequent customer and would send me upstairs to give them free pizzas all the time so that he could enjoy discounted services. Let's just say there wasn't a lot of "floatation" going on.

Looks like the area has gone downhill ever since the floatation spa shut down!

“Get to have”?!

Glad that Washington has a height act. Downtown Bethesda is starting to look like Rosslyn. Maryland can keep its taller buildings.
