honestly, it seems like a sign of weakness that JLG is willing to debate her challenger six months before an election. incumbents usually want no such thing because it just gives the challenger more opportunity to introduce themselves to voters. JLG clearly thinks she's in danger of losing.

+1. If a potential CM will make excuses for not showing up to a debate with people that might be ideologically opposed, then how can we trust them to show up when they have to do the hard work
