And that player likely communicated it ahead of time to the club and was probably seen during the summer season and evaluated.

I think the point is that if you have no idea that the tryouts for the top team in the DMV already happened, your daughter is probably not at the level to warrant a separate tryout. If you just moved in or there were extenuating circumstances they certainly would talk to you and give your daughter a look.
My comment above and I don’t disagree with you at all. I’m just channeling Lloyd Christmas and saying that there’s a chance.

If your daughter is new to the area or was injured it never hurts to reach out to any club. There is always room for the right player at a club or the right student at a private school. We’ve all seen it happen. Good luck to your daughter.
