One relatively down year (that most of the ISL teams, including my daughter's, would view as a great year) does not represent the downfall of a program that has won virtually every conference title for four decades.

Wait. I’m confused. I thought the score was 99-0 Visi. LOL!!!!

Stone Ridge has more recruited athletes than Visi, a better overall roster and also a coach who knows and played the game. They had a game plan, even when down players and deserved the win. The coaching carousel at Visi is likely to continue. Maybe they’ll get it right next time.

Congrats to SR, but thsts a little strong considering they played stall ball ALL Game. Each possession was 2-3 mins. Hard to watch. That said, SR outplayed Visi today.

It was not SR’s fault that Visi never pressed out on them and let them spin it around, eat some time, and then wait for high-quality looks. When down by 4-5, you would think they would be more aggressive and force the issue. Even with 2min left, they weren’t doubling the ball. Of course, when Visi did press out, SR picked them apart. Does ISL need a shot clock? Probably. Would it have mattered at all in this game? Not a chance with the way SE played today.

Just telling that was their strategy. They knew Visi had more talent and decided to dramatically slow the game down from the jump. Kudos for the game plan and the good W.

Maybe or maybe not. Draw control, dynamic offense and smart defense won the day. Visi may have more talent but they couldnt come up with a goal when SR was down 2 players at one point.

2 very good teams. No doubt. “More talent?” Highly debatable based on today. Visi was up 2 girls for close to 2 minutes. Couldn’t convert. SR Goalie and Defense stepped up. Top to bottom SR has tremendous depth and talent.

SR dominated draw controls which meant Visi was on defense most of the game. Time of possession was probably 3:1 for SR.

I'm not surprised by this result.

Bucky has talent, he can't coach.

Not against well-coached teans, anyway.

Really impressive. Heard KJ was at the game today doing some scouting. When you have 9 different girls who can score, how do you play defense against them? Who do you shut down or double up on? Thats a team with depth.
