Univ of Scranton seemed like a great place to me. My son chose elsewhere but I think he would have liked it both academically and socially.

What do you mean, "more grounded than Rollins"? Considering Florida schools for my DS27.


Winter Park surrounding Rollins is extremely upscale. DC had a hard time seeing what a college student could do outside of the campus itself. While the area is very nice and very walkable, it is also very expensive.


Ok, so by "more grounded," you meant "dumpier." Thanks for the clarification.

I'll go--My DC did not apply but I learnt about Carleton in the process--I like so many things about it!


I’m not sure whether Lewis & Clark is here. If not, that seems to be a good, less selective alternative to Reed.

Climate and small school, small town has a lot to do with it. Not the right fit I guess. They went because of a significant scholarship so maybe was never the right fit.
