When was the last time Visi won an ISL Championship?
Visi won about five-six years ago? It was back when the ISL championship was determined solely by the winner of the regular season. SSSAS won the tournament that year which is what most people remembered, so Visi’s banner was overshadowed. Now if different teams win the regular season and the tournament they are considered co-champions, but that is a relatively recent change for the ISL. I don’t have kids at either Visi or Saints but I played college lax and paid some attention to what was the top girls’ rivalry at the time.

I would take the great academics and very strong (even if not top two) lacrosse any day over Visi and SSSA.
First, Holton's academics are not that much better than Visi's. Both regularly send many girls to top colleges and universities, AND in the context of this thread and conversation, Visi sends significantly more girls to play lacrosse at Ivies and other top schools than Holton does, by a looong shot. Second, Holton is not a "very strong lacrosse" program. It is mediocre at best. SSSAS and Visi have nationally lacrosse recognized programs. Holton isnt even a minor player. Its a nonentity.
Why so harsh? "Mediocre" and "nonentity"? Sounds like someone's kid didn't get into Holton.
Visi sends significantly more girls to play lacrosse at Ivies top school than Holton does, by a looong shot? Let's see. Visi had 3 D1 commits in the 2017 class; Harvard, Brown and Occidental. Holton had 1; William and Mary. For the 2018 class, Visi has 2, Yale and Georgetown. Holton has 2, Stanford and Johns Hopkins. For 2019, Visi has 3, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and Fairfield. Holton has 2, Harvard and UC Davis. I wouldn't say either school sends a significant amount of girls to play lacrosse in college, nor would I say that Visi beats Holton by a looong shot.
Both are good schools. Holton has the edge academically, and Visi has the edge with lacrosse.

Bummer about the traffic. Sounds like poor planning. I don't recall hearing this happen to anyone else during MIAA/IAC games. Is this the first time?

Curious how this would be a good indicator of who is top dog in the IAC.
I'm starting to feel Prep might actually be the best team in the IAC with St. Stephens right behind them.
The Lil Hoays beat Gonzaga in OT who beat Bullis by a couple of goals. If you were at the game on Saturday night, Gonzaga was the better team and controlled the game tempo from start to finish. Bullis might have some flashy Ty Xanders 4 star recruits but they are not particularly athletic and the team does not play well together.
If the Lil Hoyas take it to Gilman on Thursday, I'm not sure who else could be considered the top of the IAC.
Bullis does not have a single quality win this year and doesn't play a quality team until Landon in a few weeks.

Gilman played a good aggressive game. Goalie stood on his head. Weird game. Sssas spent 3 hours on a school bus in traffic before running onto the field with no warm up. Game started over an hour late. Played four ten minute quarters with a running clock so that they could get it in before darkness. Last qtr both teams had trouble seeing ball.
