West Potomac wins the 6a State Championship!!

Years ago, the State Games were in the afternoons and early evenings and when there were Thunderstorms, games were delayed, and the later games didn't start until 9-10pm, and some were postponed to Sunday. For teams that traveled, it was a nightmare.

So, early morning games, less heat, and leeway when storms arrive to still get the games in.

My guess is heat concerns, which seems reasonable IMO. Can’t predict rain that far out but it’s a safe bet it will be hot in Virginia in mid-June.

And don't get me started on the early morning start times, I'm sure it's what's best for the kids; right???

How can VHSL be so bad about streaming live? They don't care!

Pretty simple solution is to stop using the crappy auto cameras and actually have someone video the game with a real camera connected to the streaming "service".
