Israel’s economy, democracy, and society is not successful or growing. Netanyahu is slowly making it obvious he’s an autocrat and he’s slowly undermining democratic institutions in Israel. Young people are fleeing in droves. Their economy shrunk 3% since the Iran conflict in June. Tourism was down this summer. There is no cohesion or agreement among the government and military and intelligence leaders. Many dislike and abhor Netanyahu and think he’s destroying Israel.

I don't know. From an Israeli perspective, Netanyahu is probably one of the greatest and most successful politicians of the modern era. He essentially controlled American foreign policy for the past 30 years getting the US to fight a multitude of trillion dollar wars on Israel's behalf all while executing a plan to genocide Palestinians and expands the nation's borders.

The average Israeli loves Israel not Bibi. They do have any interest in fighting Iran, do not care about the Levant and making a Greater Israel state including Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. The average Israeli does not want to move as settlers to Gaza or the West Bank or even golan heights. They are happy with Israel as it is. It is a beautiful place. The problem is the far right thinks what they have is not enough and they’re willing to sacrifice everything (including the U.S.-Israel military relationship (Bibis words) to get it.

Are you sure about that? Polls last year have shown that the average Israeli supports genocide/ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Imagine trying to convince someone you don’t care about something when they already know your nature is to be on 24/7 sentry mode for anyone as much as looking the wrong way at your children on a college campus. Knowing that you’re ready to unhinge and screech “anti-semitism!” until the college or university capitulates. Ready to threaten and worse until the college concedes that the anti-semitism that doesn’t actually exist at a higher rate than any other form of bigotry is, in fact, deserving of their first and highest priority.

The object of your affection is a foreign nation. Why don’t you just move there?

If Israel is doing soooo well then they certainly don't need the Americans to sponsor them. So let's stop giving them money, weapons, support, etc. They are a rich and wonderful society and will make it work.

Thank you for drowning out these naysayers with the same old empty propaganda we’re instructed to blather on and on about, regardless of the inconvenient facts.

Now, let’s go doxx some people and hopefully cost them their jobs for their nerve in having empathy and trying to promote human rights!

What about our rights!

Most of the Israeli exceptionalism is myth making. The most successful Jews do not live in Israel

Even before 10/7 didn’t happen, Israel still had these challenges and Iran exacerbated it. They spent most of the summer recovering what was leveled because their Iron dome failed

As if anyone lays eyes on your Israel PR blather and thinks, “Hmm, maybe they’re NOT actually the welfare queen losers all signs seems to suggest”.

There are plenty of dopey Am Yisrael Chai circle jerks you can find, but this here is intended to be a discussion centered around facts, not propaganda.

If you don't like being beaten down in every thread you start or add to, there's a simple solution. Focus less on your grievances with Israel and more on why the Palestinians represent a failed society, and what they can do to change course.

Beaten down? I feel beaten down?

What have we come that the Israelis, who get their asses handed to them regularly when Uncle Sam doesn’t allow them to hide behind our pant legs, is lecturing others on getting beaten down?

No. Hardly feeling beaten down, I feel exhilarated spreading the good word - the truth of Israel’s policies and actions.

And yeah, the sunlight shall continue to shine brightly (harshly?) on Israel’s shitty conduct on the world stage. Feel free to promote your feelings about Palestinians on your own time.

The facts seem to run contrary to your propaganda. Very inconvenient for you. Why don't you come back when Gaza becomes a democratic beacon, a peaceful society, happy to live in peace with its neighbors? Or do you not want to wait that long before posting more inanity?

Gaza will persist in misery until reform is unavoidable in Israel. I’m not Gazan, I’m not Palestinian, and I’m not Muslim. But I know very, very, very well that the key to persistence of the status quo is capitulating to your weak argument that voices critical of Israel’s policies and actions should go away, be ignored, etc.

You’re out of your depth if you think shitty Israeli propaganda is going to thrive in the 21st century the way it did in the last half of the past century. You can corrupt our political class, produce AI and alternative facts content all day long, get your jollies when your security services harm and kill others, and try to doxx and cancel the 96-97% of the planet that are loathesome of Israel and those who unconditionally support Israel.

It matters not. Reckoning leaves nothing intact. Enjoy the welfare while you can!
