Doubtful. More secret longings will pop up on her next album. You don’t drop hints and hidden messages for over a decade and then..poof! Oh, he’ll be back..
Oh she’ll be mad, maaad if he marries Gabriette. I expect more scalding songs like TSMWEL. Who knows exactly what promises were made, but “We get married in our heads” -> “wearing imaginary rings” -> Gabriette enters the picture, “my husband is cheating, I wanna kill him.” Imagine if he actually marries her!

Exactly this. She knew him better than any of us Sarahs and Hannahs and loved him. It doesn’t matter if he is my type or not. She said in a world of boys, he is gentleman and that he is her tattooed golden retriever. He must have been worthy of all that love and poetry.
I wish we’d just stop canceling people online and realize that humans are flawed and complex, and fans need to stay out of their personal lives.

If she was over him, she would have written The Smallest Man and been done. But there are at least 15 other songs on that album alone that tell a different story.
