The only person that cares is the person who posted about Meridian.

Again, super wierd that teams play for district titles and even if you lose, you can be put back into a state playoff. Most other states and sports certainly have district titles but once that happens, only the winner of the district advances. Shrugs shoulders.
This is the problem for all the sports in Virginia. The regular season means very little- all the teams make district playoffs regardless of how they did during the regular season/ non district games mean very little. The season extends for weeks. IMHO the district championship should go to the team with the best record in the regular season. Only district champs should make the regional tournament and only regional champs should make the state championship. You would cut weeks off the season and reduce the strain of coaches and refs and not interfere with graduation prom summer club etc

People overuse "stand on your head" to mean "made 3 or more saves". If your defense is shutting down a team the goalie didn't "stand on his head". Otherwise the defense was not actually good.

Region C games all ended up being almost an exact copy of the previous District championships (same teams playing each other in almost the same order…with the same results)Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Monday:

Well stated. There are so many meaningless district and regional playoff games. Season shouldn't be dragging into June.
