If these people had any sense, they would take the L and say "we don't like, but the people have spoken." Then they could go on and people would keep voting for republicans because abortion would be settled. But they won't do that. They are going to keep this issue front and center and make people vote against them if they care about abortion rights. And many many people care about them a lot.
Think they will force Donald Trump to go all in on abortion in 2024? Or will they give him a free pass and let him pretend that he’s totally cool with it?
Pretend? He is totally cool with it. He does not care about reporductive rights beyond how he could manipulate his position to get votes.
It makes no difference at this point what he says about abortion. He overturned roe and he is done for.

"The House then wasted hours on Wednesday debating and voting on amendments to the Financial Services and General Government appropriations bill, only to pull it moments before the scheduled vote on Thursday morning. This time, moderate Republicans rebelled over a provision in the bill that would allow employers in D.C. to discriminate against women who have an abortion or use contraception."

Keep it up you lunatic forced birthers. You’re simply proving the soundbyte that Republicans cannot be trusted on Abortion. And so the best way to protect ourselves is voting them out.
And then starting the campaign for an amendment to the U.S. constitution now that people realize what’s at stake.
It’s a *constitutional* issue?? The illegitimate supreme court said in its overturning of Roe that it is NOT a constitutional issue and that it should be determined by the legislative process. Well, the legislative branch in Ohio put a vote to the people to ADD it to the state constitution they way the Supreme Court said it should, but NOW it’s a “constitutional” issue. These crackpots don’t care about the law or people - they just want to control women. There is literally no other explanation.
