Honest answer: republicans see Asians as a useful tool to dismantle affirmative action.
That’s pretty much it.
I'll believe that, when I see Republicans actually trying to dismantle affirmative action. Largely it is Asians that are pushing the issue, and the Republicans are ignoring them, and largely not campaigning for Asian votes at all. Republicans could do much better in Loudoun and Fairfax if they ran against affirmative action.
That's the thing, they will not come out and try to dismantle the program. They are using a proxy.
Yes they will. Every time banning race in admissions has made it to a ballot, the measure has passed. I’m surprised it hasn’t happens in VA yet

Only affirmative action should be equality not equity. Educated leftists and Teachers unions supported by VDOE have made a mess by bring race into schools.
D's bought race into school with equity and divide society on racial lines for their vote, and its amazing to see Rs beat D's at their own game.
OMG. The Ds wanted to have better outcomes for all kids. So disgusting.

And yet you’re perfectly fine with Donald’s position on race? OK cool. We know now not to give a flying F**k what you think.
Did I say I was okay with his position on race? lol. I never voted for him or any republican so they didn't lose my vote, genius
If you’re voting for Republicans - the party that made its platform “Donald Trump” (literally) - you’re ok w/ their position on race, moron
Do you also say that to the blacks, latinos, and asians who voted Youngkin?
Yes, I do. And if you think it’s impossible for a black person to vote for a candidate who will not act in the best interests of black people generally…you’re not quite understanding reality.
Wait, what positions on race are we talking about here? What are the Republican positions on Asians exactly?

No truer words have ever been written on DCUM.
The sad part is they go along with it and think that Republicans actually care about them.
Maybe, but the issues align. The Democrat's policy is that they should be happy to give up spaces to less qualified URM students.
Were those spaces theirs to begin with? I mean you can only give up space that you had or belong to you. Do they actually believe those spaces BELONG to them?
They belong to the most qualified person. No race or group should have a lock on any of this

The Ds wanted equal outcomes and the best way to ensure that was to make it harder for anyone to obtain a better outcome

Actually, Asians see Republicans as the party that will protect them from the discrimination served up by the Dems these past few years.

LMAO.
I didn't even see the tagline. I was laughing at the fact that he locked his account down like those Dem staffers who allegedly pulled off the stunt in front of Youngkin's bus. BTW when's the FBI going to release that report?

I don't know. I think Asians are all over the map politically. Asians are hardly a monolith and their experiences immigrating to this country are very different. Also, they are also all over the map in terms of religion and how religious they are.
