I don’t get the “over emotional” accusations. Can’t even figure out which posts the PP means. I think everyone is just saying the same thing -YJMA is a terrible program for a wide variety of reasons and parents should avoid it.

Gtfo out of here. YJMA cannot accept blame or respond to the incident. That says all. With the director (LC) obviously posting here why not be the bigger person and address the issue that happened Sat

That also speaks volumes for the quality of the club. Thousands of dollars per year for not even the chance to play with your own age group, and a high school kid/ sibling of a teammate is coaching your team. Face palm for sure

Please STFU you have no understanding of this program at all. Proofs in the pudding and tonight we just had another 23 commit to ASU.

Running a small business in today’s climate is extremely difficult. I find it unnerving that anyone would challenge the motives for someone trying to promote the sport that they love. Do the math, it’s nothing to write home about.

Second poster above. Pride, Stars, Va Metro. All are better choices for youth development. And to last poster, I have to believe there are many past Rattler/YJ parents that are posting to try to open eyes of other parents. Player being cut? YJMA doesn’t turn away players. If you have money to hand over your make the team. Plain and simple

Did you play for YJ? Your responses seems extremely personal. I feel as if this is a child that didn’t make the cut, or a dad/mom that got rejected. This seems too emotional for an adult. Funny how you condemn the HS volunteer for being emotionally unstable (which we agree was not reasonable), but yet you react with similar extreme emotional responses.

For grade school in Virginia go to Stars or Pride. Both are excellent at developing youth players.

Any sensible parent at this point should think long and hard on whether the want to be associated to a club and a club leader that has a history of these types of incidents. Won’t be surprised if Long Island gets involved as owners of this program. Totally many other options out there for parents to pick from. Do your homework. Feel bad for majority of the girls with this program that are good kids and want to play the sport they love. Hopefully they figure it out and can find a landing spot at a program that fosters development and correct character traits

Granted several were YJ players, but not apart of the travel team calendar and was paid out of pocket by a group of parents that took that as an extra lacrosse opportunity. It is unfortunate all around. Definitely need to make sure lax ladies have solid role models and learn self control.

Coaches were wearing YJ Boat House jackets and the director was in the stands wearing hers as well. Really did look like an YJMA was officially there. Also was the same coach during the pumpkin shootout as on the field.

This story gets worse by the minute. Surprised that a high school volunteer could produce such vitriol at her age, but what is most dis-concerting is the director and other YJMA leaders did nothing to stop the meltdown. You would think they would provide reason and some sanity not to ruin it for the girls who in the end are the biggest losers in this whole fiasco.

This is not an excuse. They used the Yellowjacket name, they were representing the YJMA club. Period.

When players join up on an unaffiliated team to play in tournaments a reputable club would not permit them to use the club’s name. For instance, the team “Storm” in the Snowflake division was mostly Capital players but did not use the Capital name or any variation. The use of YJ must have been sanctioned and may well have been used for promotional purposes if the team had won.

Also, whatever the age or affiliation of the coach of that team, the person shouldn’t be allowed to coach again. There are excellent high school aged coaches. It’s about character and sportsmanship, not age.

They can try to run from this all they want, but there is a 100% chance that if they won that game it would have been splattered all over the YJMA instagram page. You don't get to pick and choose when you associate with your club.

It was an add on tournament for all teams. The tournament didn't even exist when people paid their dues. Not a surprise the YJMA families are burying their heads in the sand. They may be in denial, but if they were smart they would be checking out the summer try out schedules as soon as they are posted.
