It depends on your personality.

Senate is more fun.

You get to opine on whatever you want. You have access anytime you want to multiple national media platforms to speak your mind.

The young women in dc are hotter than back in your home state capital.

Especially if you are a senator from a state that has less caucus “leader” influence from the opposing party (Alaska, Maine, nh, wv, az etc) you have lots of power to sink things and walk around like a king/queen.

The downside is senate requires way more fundraising if you don’t have a vast fortune or personal juice to fall back on.

Governor is a lot of responsibility. It’s a lot more work. You have to deal with a lot of dry and boring subject matter.

This is a huge blow to the GOP Senate changes of retaking the majority. The other GOP hopefuls are MAGAs that aren't super popular in the state.

That’s huge news, thanks for the update.

I wonder if sununu made his mind up after doing the Republican jewish pilgrimage out to Vegas a few days ago and realized he wanted nothing to do with the people there.

Staying up in NH and being gov (he’ll cruise to reelection) means you don’t have to deal with that crowd.

New Hampshire has a track record of voting out competent, pragmatic, centrist politicians when the national mood is ugly against that politician's party (ie Kelly Ayotte). While Maggie Hassan can breathe slightly, she can't breathe too much either. It will be interesting to see what happens. Maybe Ayotte will run again. Local polling in NH not too long ago showed Ayotte slightly behind Hassan but Hassan herself was well under 50% in that matchup, suggesting independent/moderate ire (ie the undecided) will be a major factor in the final outcome.

More risk of NH flipping if sununu gets in

McGrath was a horrible candidate. Booker is a long shot but I won't totally discount it. Stranger things have happened.
