Within a few days for what? Phase 1?

Assume so although he spent most of the conference blaming Hogan - for what it was unclear. He’s insufferable.

Ridiculous.

If NoVA goes to Phase 1 on Friday, as expected, and the rest of MD goes to Phase 2 today, and MoCo is still in Phase 0, people are going to go apesht.

They’ll just go over the border to neighboring counties and DC. Thanks Elrich! You’ll be helping us instead of your own MoCo businesses. That’s consistent with his anti-business shtick anyway, right?

Where did you guys find this moron? Is a recall possible?

The Supreme Soviet of the People's Republic of Takoma Park

Not joking. Marc Elrich is a literal Communist. He regularly visits Cuba for fun. There's actual video proof on Youtube of him praising Cuba and the Castro regime.

I can't for the life of me figure out why people voted for this guy.

The primary was a mess. Elrich was the Bernie candidate and there were too many other candidates vying for the (relatively) moderate vote.

Oh, he guesses? I thought we were coordinating with NoVA and DC.

The business owners in this county—and all of us—deserve better than this floundering idiot.

He's coming off as bad as Trump in terms of poor leadership. He's the county executive, so plan and execute. He shouldn't be "guessing". Doesn't he think that businesses might want some time to plan ahead and get in touch with employees to call them back into work? It's ridiculous.

At this point I think his ego, and ongoing spat with Hogan, is clouding his judgement.

However, if the governor is having a press conference at 5p and hasn’t signaled to the county executives anything about the content, that’s a problem. The county execs shouldn’t have to watch the conference to find out and then be unable to respond right after.

Except Elrich made a decision not to take the state’s plan/ advice, so he really threw the first punch. Why should Hogan entertain him when he doesn’t listen anyway?

That press conference today was an embarrassment.

Where will they get the revenue with all the businesses barely surviving let alone generating tax income?

Higher taxes, lay-off teachers since they won’t need as many for distance learning in the fall.
