Funny how liberals pay lip service to all their "good deed" and virtue signal whenever humanly possible. This guy has posted this a million times.

Think of the democratic response like a small child or that annoying person at work who simply wants to argue just to argue. Eventually with the small child, the parent gives in and lets them do the stupid thing they want to do. The child then figures out what they wanted was really stupid. The dumb person at work argues and is granted permission but quickly backtracks when it falls on him to complete the work by actually doing the work. They didn't want the work, they just wanted to complain.

The Trump response is the throwing of the arms in the air and saying, "fine - you don't want to work with me at all so I will thrust the problem onto your shoulders." The dem leadership has backed themselves into a corner on this one.

It becomes an attack on Trump when he stated the obvious. While ICE isn't going to OFFICIALLY ship newcomers to sanctuary cities, that's where they're headed. Mo Co, for example, is growing in diversity.

Here are some stats:
The population of Montgomery County, MD is 44.5% White, 19.1% Hispanic, and 17.8% Black. 41% of the people in Montgomery County, MD speak a non-English language, and 84.8% are U.S. citizens.

Hispanics make up the largest group. Now, you'd need to examine the numbers more closely to see who's in ESOL classes, for example, in order to analyze funding and growth. But we do know that the group is growing, which makes it attractive for those seeking refuge in similar communities.



So while "Trump thinks it's a punishment," as you so eloquently stated, do YOU think it's a punishment, too? That's the question that's been asked again and again on these threads.

The growth is there, folks. Liberal (and mainly coastal) cities will attract newcomers for many reasons. So how is Trump's "punishment" any different from what's ALREADY BEEN in place for YEARS?

Yes, let’s bring ALL of the immigrants to the blue areas. Good idea. More Dem voters. Build our economy with additional workers.

And by bringing in those immigrants in with the full support of the GOP I’m sure we will encourage even more refugees to take the trip. Although I bet the GOP might even send buses down to ensure safer passage for those families.

And we can save tons of money on the wall and border security. Just have a steady stream of new workers heading to the blue areas.

His approval in NC is dropping. What if he withholds FEMA funding if they get another massive hurricane over that?

Any prior citizen’s family income over $75k will be forfeited to the US government and go into an “integration” fund for helping out under privileged people acquired as a result of our usurpation of Central America. Anyone complaining about this policy will be shot on site, partially to tamp down discord and partially to solve for overpopulation in our new welfare state. Sound good?

I'm not a Trump supporter, but b/c of your attitude (as you reflect the norm), I happily escaped the Ds.

At the root of this issue are two topics: NIMBYism and hypocrisy, which are intertwined.

Sanctuary cities are MUCH MORE receptive with regard to illegal immigration. There are NO guarantees regarding security; that's understood. However, the liberalism in those areas is widespread and thus, accepting.

I can personally speak to Montgomery County, having lived there for a large chunk of my life.

It's a win-win with Nancy Navarro on the County Council and CASA in Wheaton, right? a match made in heaven!

But then something suddenly changed. Trump hastily made another statement about sanctuary cities absorbing illegal immigrants. ICE cleared up the issue, shouting about budgetary constraints and dangers to the immigrants, not to mention the legalities around transporting them.

But what was amazing were the responses from liberals. Regardless of obstacles facing ICE over this issue, liberals were the first ones to jump on Trump for making this suggestion. Where was the COMPASSION for them? Why didn't any of you jump in and offer solutions? Instead, you attacked Trump for making this suggestion. You didn't worry about those who struggled for weeks to WALK their way to the border.

Are you kidding? That is exactly what is happening now.

We're in MCPS and we see these families coming to the school system in droves. Of course there are support systems in place. That's why they come here!

They stay in SFHs, where they live 4 families to one home. We've been seeing this in our middle class neighborhood for the past 5 years. They get healthcare from the state, a free education for the kids and help from CASA.

Why would that be any different because Trump wants to do it?

And, how is this proposal any different from what the Democrats want - Open Borders?
