It actually is last minute. It is now too close to the election now for his name to be replaced on the ballot. It would have to have been 76 days out from the election.


But he can still withdraw and someone else could start campaigning for a write-in victory. Plenty of time for that.

The Republicans should have thought of that when they scheduled the special election for December to depress turnout instead of having on Election Day like normal people.
