OP: Rent a two-bedroom apartment IB of the school you want your DD to attend. Smaller units are not factored into the calculation of school capacity, so if you rent a cheap efficiency, you wont't be as entitled to the IB spot you'll be taking. It will still be less than what you are paying for private school. I agree that it's nobody's business where you child spends the night.

You have to agree to a home visit. By signing the form. I have never given anyone permission to come into my home and never will.

For some schools, yes. Look at the lottery data at MSDC.

For military families there is a special 'chancellors' rule that allows military kids to enroll at any time (e.g. outside the lottery) assuming there is space at a school.
