Dear Sir,
I am Chief Nze Akpamgbo Special Adviser to the GDA of US Soccer special revenue department on behalf of whose wife I write you this message. Since the assumption of power by the present GDA, the entire ENCL and CCL of late General Sanni Abacha has known no peace at all. The present board has set out plans to liquidate the estate of the late Leagues and associated clubs The GDA has confiscated all known property of these late leagues(which we mean players). They have equally frozen all the club’s bank account here in Nigeria and abroad.
The first surviving son of late General Abacha, Muhammed Abacha is presently standing trial on a framed charges of poaching players and running u9 summer camps teaching heading. All these victimization and many more has left the surviving clubs of general Abacha and his wife in a very desperate situation in the battle for survival. In view of this experience and in order to avoid being put into worse jeopardy, Madam Mariam Abacha has decided to entrust her leagues money under the care of an obscure Like I stated above the leagues and associated clubs’ bank accounts of late General Sanni Abacha has been frozen and the money and property seized by the GDA. Madam Abacha acting on tip-off withdrew as much money as she could before the freezing of her account and kept it in cash, very well disguised to avoid being detected by the security agencies of the GDA. She placed the money in a soccer travel backpack. If you take the ball out, you can really get a lot of stuff in there.
The money will be put under your custody under conditions to be agreed upon by Madam and yourself. Madam would be very pleased to discuss directly with you upon your acceptance to assist her. The first batch of US$45,000,000.00 will be handed over to you as soon as this agreement is concluded. However, you should undertake to make the money available to her on demand as a primary condition to the commencement of the transaction.
Oh and your kid was so impressive we have created a new team just for kids like her...let’s call it GDA magenta subteam 5b. Please accept within 5 minutes of receipt of this email.
Please do treat this matter as very urgent and highly confidential. All your correspondent should be through the above E.mail address. I look forward to your prompt reply.
Yours faithfully,
Chief Nze Akpamgbo

We totally forgot to ask about what the process is, but I never got the sense there would be any notifications coming, did you? Seemed more to just be taking a look then conducting tryouts, but I could be wrong there.
Just received this email from WS:
We wanted to send a thank you for registering your player for our ID Sessions and interest in the Washington Spirit Academy. The staff was impressed with all of the players efforts and our excitement grows daily with where the Development Academy platform and our training environment will grow in the future.
We also wanted to provide some information about our process and timeline. We hope that it is helpful:
The DA operates on a 10-month season, so our calendar starts in August and continues through the end of June at the annual San Diego Showcase. (We provide a month break in winter). We have gone through our initial evaluations and will be sending a message to players about our interest in them joining the DA in the fall. The message will be sent within the next 24 hours.
Official offers will be sent in April.
We will hold weekly training sessions with the future DA players to acclimate them to the training environment beginning in May. We understand that some current club / odp commitments will go through the summer. We will manage this with each player.
If you do not receive a message, this does not mean your player will not be selected, we may just need another look. We will hold 2 more ID sessions in April and finalize our selection process. If an offer is not given at that time, our SYL program is also an option, see below.
Super Y League:
Another way to be involved with the club is by joining our summer SYL program. The pathway that the club has created ends with the Pro Team, and at this time starts with SYL. A large percentage of our current DA players in VA & MD were players that started their relationship with the Spirit as SYL players. Below is a link with information and Ana Mayoral, who manages programming, is CC'd above in the event there are any questions. We will continue to use SYL training and matches as a resource to identify players for the DA.

Unrelated, how early is too early to start drinking?
