I'm just amazed (not in a good way), that there is at least one - possibly as many as 3 - random killers just walking, going about their daily business. No leads, no suspects, no more details. One the one hand it shouldn't paralyze anyone's daily life, but it's still just effing crazy. I love living in Alexandria, but I feel severely let down by the APD.

Welcome to Virginia. Police are pretty much exempt from FOIA here and don't really have to disclose anything to the public. Virginia scored an "F" (47th out of 50 states) for transparency and accountability in a recent ranking.
