I went to a baby shower once with barely any food, after driving 2+ hours to get there! And there wasn't much in the town to go to afterwards when I was starving. I think I recall a few pretzels, fruit and packaged cookies.

Yeah this is bad. Whenever we have a party we cater and it usually costs at least 300. Maybe these parents are cheap.
