Unless they get a waiver from MSDE, which it sounds like they are trying to do (and why they added the 4/15 day, but that may not be enough to get the waiver.)


They need to add three days before they can ask for a waiver. That's why the first one was denied.

I wonder if this means they're giving up on the legislation? Because since the Senate hearing isn't even happening until Tuesday, it's very unlikely it would then speed to full passage by next Friday. And even if they received assurances that it was going to pass the Senate after that, you still can't really make a "final announcement" until it's official.


I'd really like to hear a plausible argument for how this bill is "necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public health or safety."
