Even if the US succeeds in taking out the ayatollah, odds are they’ll just replace him with someone even more hard-right. It’s very hard to bomb a country into democracy.

They're gonna essentially do zippy. We have around 18 Aircraft Carriers, Battleships, Destroyers and subs all over that place. We own the battlespace. Anything they try will be dealt with swiftly.

Yeah, I don't think it's correct to call this a new war. It's just the same old same old again and again with Iran. We need to declare peace before we can start a new war. It's one of the many endless wars.
