He was never anti cop. He was pro better policing. Police should not be concerned with mental health and kids jumping the turnstiles at the subway stations. Police should also not be overworked to death via overtime. The job is draining.

Hiring more cops was always something he promised. People mocked the mental health worker stuff but that’s actually more of what is needed in every single city for public and community safety.
