I forgot about my Peter's Jacket. I had one and we always used to shop at E. J Korvettes for back to school supplies. I used to love that. And then on to J.C. Penneys in Congressional Plaza for new underwear. And then lunch at Roy Rogers or Hot Shoppes Jr in Congressional.

My Mom sewing my older 3 sisters culotte skirts in the 60's......

Mom, you are awesome! (but I am kind of glad that once I was old enough to care about clothing, you could afford to buy me stuff from Britches)

Biggest day on the job........diligently fighting crime and upholding justice on the corner of Maiden Lane and Holiday Terrace. Two guys had a car accident elsewhere. They got in an argument and one fled the scene. The other jumped on the hood. They came down Maiden lane at 70 mph with the car swirving to knock the guy off the hood. It worked. Yuck. I would have been able to prevent the whole thing if I had watched more Gomer Pyle....."Citizen's Arrest!! Citizen's Arrest!!"

Yes, yes! My son is a safety patrol and has a fluorescent green one!

I am amazed at the number of current Whitman parents who went there themselves.

Nope. Cleveland Park. Which was decidedly uncool and staunchly middle class. All the cool kids lived in Spring Valley or Foxhall.

I remember Pappagallo's in G-town and in White Flint. The Lemon Twist is amazingly still around! Bermuda bags (monogrammed of course) were de riguer, as were gros grain ribbons in our ponytails. Also Topsiders, NOT docksiders.

Was part of the team that got in trouble for weight loss pills back then on Coach Glisky and Millers teams. Did the program in.

Diuretics and laxatives were handed out on one of my teams before weigh-in. Also played for Miller a different year. Dickheadious Maximus.
