Why “under 40”? I get that 75 is over-represented in politics but damn, 50 is nowhere near 75.

Because getting powerful in politics takes decades.

For local offices?

I love what they’re doing, but their focus on youth and even the use of “millennials “ and “gen z” terms detracts from their diversity and equality values. It’s almost funny to me that the generation that started new pronouns in order to maximize inclusivity is totally blind to ageism - it’s the last acceptable prejudice and bigotry.

They used to have more emphasis on “first-timers” which made sense. I love that.

But sure, if you’re an under 40 progressive, they are a brilliant resource.

There are other organizations to support those over 41 wanting to run for office. And RFS is happy to point folks to.

And there you were wrong. Harris was Biden’s sock puppet, mouthing everything he and the DNC instructed her to say.

SMH. Must’ve taken all night to come up with that

Our reps are doing nothing. Collecting a paycheck and looking for another job.

Same. My senators “firmly disagree” with “strongly worded letters” and my house rep died.

I don’t want to live here anymore.

Can you provide reputable links/sources that show that the American people can no longer get vaccines and fluoride?

You could have searched this yourself or follow news, but here you go:

Yes, we knew it would be bad. Yes, we read Project 25 (which he lied about).
However, we also made it through his first term with a lot less insane chaos and harm than he's done in the first 100 days of this term. There was chaos. There was harm. But MAGA has stretched the outer limits of our democracy farther and faster than last time and our checks and balances are having a harder time than we expected. We secretly hoped that there would still be adults in the room.

This post is infuriating. It was widely reported that there wouldn’t be adults in the room, that Trump would only appoint loyalists. No “adults” would have supported his running again or agreed to serve in his second administration. Many, many people sounded the alarm that the Republicans were removing the guardrails of democracy that protected us during his first term. This was no secret!!! Where were you?! When he said completely batsh!t crazy nonsense and couldn’t explain any policies or positions on the campaign trail, what made you think we’d be okay under his tenure? You either weren’t paying attention or you were just in denial.

Sure wish we had nominated someone with legitimate two term POTUS acumen back in 2020 so that a Trump second term was never possible. Prioritizing control over things within your control is always the best plan of action.

Look, I’m a Dem Biden-hater, but who cares. The felon said immigrants were eating cats and dogs, and Vance said he lied about it, that should have disqualified both. Stop focusing on the wrong thing. It was CLEAR as day things would be bad.

+1. I mean if you just pay attention to what he has said before the election, you'd see who he is. Why the surprise? It's really about how mortifying thing can get and to what extent will our reputation and country recover after 4 years of T that's the real question. The surprise will be that we could actually return from the black hole we're in!
