Pay attention to people's actions and not just their words. I encourage Springbrook HS staff to go to the media with their complaints. There's no working inside the system to resolve these issues. MCPS always closes rank on their leadership circle.
Yeah they are
MCPS has more than 24 graduations. They all can't go to all of them, but yes line-ups like that are attending many of them.
Why is it insulting for the superintendent to attend Springbrook's graduation, as well as several other schools' graduations? The real issues raised about the principal do not seem relevant to this. The graduation celebrates the class of 2025, and their ceremony should not be shunned due to unresolved concerns about their principal.
If Moran, Robby Dodd and Donna Redmond-Jones had reprimanded Valentine or held her accountable in some and then shown up at graduation and made nice with her, you're right. There would be nothing wrong with that.
But it's insulting because they've done nothing, they've defended the status quo and this picture in context of that situation and those facts, is evidence of whose side they're on. If you think there's nothing behind these kinds of photo ops, then you have no idea how MCPS politics works.
I co-sign this. Most mcps staff familiar with DRJ don’t care for her at all. Plus, she supported Beidleman’s promotion… we will never forget that.
I have worked with Donna and found her to be a thoughtful and caring leader, but haters are gonna hate.
