Most likely, yes. But not until school year 2026-2027.

Pushing it back another year is ridiculous, to supposedly reduce the overwhelm of the boundary changes as well. Maybe if we could get more sleep first, we'd be able to deal with the boundary changes afterwards.

You must be new to FCPS. I assure you, they have no problem with the worst of both worlds.

Option E is the worst!! Can not image family who has kids in ES that starts 9:50 am. And they need to handle this for 7 years!! Do you know where can parents go to get their voice heard by FCPS?

Stop whining. It's been early for middle school since ’98.

Seriously....this fight for two years of early makes no sense to me. You parents made a mess for yourselves. ES parents will be dealing with craziness from k-6.

No bleep Sherlock, this is what people said from the beginning would happen. A waste of millions again...again...Gatehouse will never learn.

I like how they spent all this money just to come up with their preferred option of moving all the start times back 30 minutes. No one else in FCPS could have come up with that option for free?

How many after school clubs could they fund with the money they spend on outside consultants and lawyers?

I would have them attend later, after Elementary. Most parents have to work from 7am-8am. Pushing elementary to 9am+ is horrible idea!

Do you currently live in Fairfax County? The current ES bell schedule runs anywhere from 8:40 until 9:20.
