Have you been to a Grocery Store in this area when we have a snow forecast?

Do we have enough groceries (even if you don't think you do, you do. You may need to not eat a fresh vegetable or fruit for a day.)? Will we SURVIVE for a couple of days without leaving our homes (yes, yes we will).
How long will school be out? When will it get out?
Will the children LEARN? We're going to slip further! How about send them out in the snow - there's probably some study that says letting them play in the snow for a day is good for development. Or read a book. Or, hell, let them curl up under some blankets and watch a movie. Or for older kids, let them sleep. It will all be ok.
How about we normalize "It's just a snowstorm" and if we need to stay home, or if we're feeling anxious about it, keep our kids home. If you're not experienced in driving in snow, stay home. If you aren't comfortable going out, don't go. I just feel like every storm in this area becomes this fever pitch of fear and anxiety and it's exhausting.
It's SNOW. It happens. And it (God willing) is going to keep happening. We just all need to relax about it.

Given the histrionics posted here daily, “most of us” want to scream and complain about every little thing that doesn’t go precisely to our preferences.

Maybe learn to read a weather report. It will be 53 on Thursday. We’ll be back in school that day.
If we only get a little bit of snow, maybe. If we get more than a little bit, then one day of 40s or 50s won't magic the snow away in an afternoon. It will definitely make a lot of ice overnight though.
You do know that it’s going to rain on Wednesday night? And temperatures will be above freezing on Thursday morning.
I have freezing rain and ice on my forecast for Wednesday night
Yes it’s two different storms. Today is snow. Wednesday it becomes sleet/ice/freezing rain wintry mix. Thursday may take care of a lot of it so we will be back Friday but we will not be back Thursday.

Same. Honestly I hope this changes to a closure because this seems bad for the kids. It supposedly will be snowing when my MS kid comes home at noon.
and the high schoolers driving if it starts early.
Just call your high school driver out early if it starts to snow.
That is our plan.

Great and some ES are not done till 1:15.....so glad it works for your kids.
What’s wrong with 1:15?
