I don’t know how much of it is misogyny at this point but rather stupidity. Take the tariffs thing for example. Most economists agree that it doesn’t work the way Trump says but that is just labeled “word salad” and people can only comprehend slogans like “Trump will fix it”. Kamala could have done a better job explaining how the Biden administration combated inflation (which is down!!) but maybe she was forced to dumb everything down.
At work I do see average men succeed over exceptional women. It’s due to having a confidence that they can get away with bullshitting everyone. Most women don’t have that probably it’s a nurture situation where girls are told to work hard and boys are told they can do no wrong. Look at this current generation of boymom types complaining boys are disadvantaged in school. I don’t have a lot of hope for the future frankly.

+1. One time my husband and I were in a dangerous area. I said I was scared and asked if he was scared. He said, I never feel scared. It was eye opening. I realized what a different experience we each have had in our lives. It's ike when men find out how common it is for a woman to have had some, if not several, sexual transgressions against her throughout her life.

As a white, male, never-Trumper I’ve been trying to get my head around how so many people could even consider voting for him. My son’s friends all voted Trump which is confusing because their values all align very closely with Democrats: equality, environmental sustainability, affordable housing, etc.
This Reddit thread helps me understand how this loss happens. Men feel they don’t have a voice in the democratic party. They have to apologize for their privilege before they can even speak - and even then, they’re likey to be labeled an “ist” and told to go work on themselves.
When you alienate such a large voting block it impacts election results.
The democratic party needs to refocus on its ideals (which are sound) rather than demographics and be truly inclusive.
I'm at the point where I don't care anymore. I don't care to understand. You all can work on it. I'm out.

The Dem losses went far beyond just Kamala’s. Misogyny doesn’t explain all of it. But it’s easier to just say that then ask the hard questions or take a look in the mirror.

Your statement just tells us that you are in a bubble. Most women I know likely voted for Kamala, but I know several who voted for Trump. The statistics tell the story in a more comprehensive way. She was highly qualified, more qualified than Trump, and her moral stance vis a vis Trump put her waaaaay ahead in my book. Just because you didn't like her skin or gender or whatever, doesn't mean that everyone else thought the same.
