There is no defending it based on facts.
Except you should replace the word MAGA with Dems. What you describe is more recently tied to Gaza protests, issues with an open border, and pop-up DEI consultants who capitalized on fear mongering.

Before Biden dropped out, they told me they could never support Harris. They just didn't like her.
Today they told me they've changed their minds and now they think she is good. They are really enthusiastic about Walz.
They help me level-set when I get too deep in my little Reddit/DCUM/podcast/Twitter bubble. I was really happy hear they are feeling good about this ticket.
Anyway, that's a data point of one.
Here's another data point of one - I live in a blue part of a red state. There's a guy in my area I see sometimes wearing a Trump shirt when he's walking his dogs.
A couple of months ago I told him it made me sad to see him wearing that shirt. Yesterday, I was talking to him again - and he said some of his friends have cut him off because he's supporting Trump. He actually thanked me for still being polite to him when I see him out with his dog. (It's for the dog.)
You actually went up to someone and told them their Trump shirt makes you sad?? You are the problem.
+1 how entitled can a person get?
Lol. That poster said they are the only neighbor that gives this person the time of day. They sound kind, not entitled.
lol. Gave them the time of day to tell them how SAD they make her?!? Are you insane?

Do you think Kamala can actually maintain momentum?
Do the Dems have any new tricks up their sleeve if she starts to falter?
She got the announcement boost, then the Tim Walz boost, and then the Convention boost. But that’s all over and the debate(a) loom large.
Can she translate vibes into policy? Predictions?
You think RFK stole her thunder? HAHAHAHAHA!
Yes. Undeniably. RFK and JD were all over the talk shows this morning. Trump is out giving podcast interviews today, Sunday.
Where the hell is Kamala?
Biden-Harris don’t work weekends.
