Friend's kid went to Pitt premed. Well respected. Lots of great options.

All great choices. I agree with PP about quality of life.
I think NU would also have that. Hopkins prestigious but a reputed cutthroat grind.
Mine decided between NU and Brown (for math and arts). Went with Brown for open curriculum and access to music.

Interesting choice. I’d probably lean Iowa, with Michigan State a close second. Iowa has more out of state students (though mostly Midwesterners). It also has a nicer campus, and the better college town.

Michigan State is closer and has better sports teams, but also has a bit of that “couldn’t-get-into-UofM-so-I-ended-up-here” vibe.

The Big10 schools are probably stronger for psychology than Syracuse. Plus there’s the Midwest nice factor, which shouldn’t be discounted.

Really, $ doesn't matter at all?

Syracuse is so pricey for a liberal arts degree. Makes me lean toward Michigan State, which has comparable school spirit. But I don't know the actual sticker price. All three are good.

We have one in college already so paying out of state would be difficult, but we could do it

This is the trifecta of Mid-Atlantic solid engineering. I’m an NCSU BSCE but I’d give the nod to in-state at UMD, although the Spring admit and no engineering guarantee give a bit of a pause.

Ultimately, not a bad choice among them. I don’t envy your DC’s decision making.
