Trump has appeal because he isn't from the same swamp producing and employing the likes of McKinsey consultsnts that have been ruining the country for the last 50 years and creating massive wealth inequality. It's largely the elite college educated, urban Democrats who choose to go work for companies like McKinsey, Wall St. etc. that have been gutting their jobs and destroying the livelihood of the middle class.


You sound bitter because McKinsey never would have hired you. Clearly you don't have the education or intellect to work for them. If you really think Trump isn't a swamp creature, your morals are seriously lacking. He loves the poorly educated and the poorly educated sure love him.


You've got this wrong again: there is a number of Ivy League graduates who support Trump, including people who work in big consulting firms.

No, but the reverse is not true. I would not vote for someone outwardly bigoted to my racial or ethnic background, or my gender. And while I don't care if he "loves" me (what a weird way to phrase it, PP), I DO care that he shows a great deal of hostility to me. And it would be weird for a person to vote for someone in that circumstance, but I'm sure there are the ones that do. And I don't know what to say to those people, honestly.

The cheers reflect that some number of Americans make Trump their whole personality. These cultists aren't, on their own, a very significant voting bloc; but they can occupy a camera's field of view. On top of this group there are people who vote for Trump like they would a regular candidate for a variety of reasons -- they hate liberals, are very rich and love the tax breaks, etc.

Meanwhile, nobody makes Biden their whole personality. He's a center-left, traditional politician. They're not going to make him an object of worship, but a shit ton of people voted for him.

Most Americans don't approve of Biden's performance as president and don't want him to serve another term. He is unpopular in a sleazy politician kind of way. If he retired after one term and went on to live a quiet life as a grandpa figure as opposed to giving in to a greed for power, he would quickly become more favorable in the eyes of more Americans. Trump is unpopular in a different kind of way. He could walk away from politics today and he will still be looked at as a menace to society by a majority of Americans until the day he dies. His reckless arrogance and lack of integrity while "serving" as POTUS is unforgivable and his legacy is cemented by these deep flaws.
