The way most of you are analyzing college choices of these kids suggests you haven't been through the process with a real student yet. You will look at lists differently in the future if you even look at all anymore.

Prep is for spoiled bros.

I went to college to have fun, I am fairly intelligent and turned town top schools because I realized it didn’t actually matter. My college was a “ding” for Prep.

As much as people hate to admit it, secondary school is more important for your educational background than the college you select.

Have fun for 4 years, a top college is becoming less and less relevant in most professions.

60% is a very good rate.

I don’t think you know what WOW means. Those results are not impressive.

Please do that for me. I don't have time to go through the exercise. I am genuinely interested.

Ha. It’s not true anyway. And we are talking 10 kids only top 10% at prep and 25 kids at GZ.

Isn't GZ's class 3x as large?

No. It’s twice as large (250 vs 125). So the top 10% is 25 vs 12.5.

Many going to top 20 schools on their own merits (as well as some recruits). It is not as lopsided as Prep, which seems to only get athletes and wealthy Chinese students into the top schools. Quite disappointing.

yeah, something went really wrong with Prep this year. Visi, Stone Ridge, Gonzaga all did much better with the unconnected kids. Prep has the Chinese kids, the athletes, the Georgetown matriculations and then everyone else is just sort of going somewhere random.

Yeah so "random" -- like Princeton, Hopkins, UMD, UVA, Georgetown... Who's even heard of these "random" places???
