Pregnancy is not being forced. 1% of women report they are seeking abortion because of rape; less than 1% seek abortion because of incest.
The vast vast majority of abortion is sought because of lifestyle choices.
Pregnancy is not being forced. If pregnancy is not being forced, neither is birth.
But this is a lot of women! there are more than a million abortions per year in the US alone. If one percent are from rape, that is still more than 10K a year. Over a 10 year period, that would mean over a million women were forced to give birth from rape. that should HORRIFY you.
Then add on failed birth control - birth control largely works, but when you are looking at tens of millions of women a year who use highly effective birth control, even a 1% failure rate means again millions of women a year are getting pregnant who are doing the right thing and using birth control responsibly.
1% of 1 million is 10,000. Multiply by 10 years gives you 100k. Not over a million. Just a FYI.
Dp- That’s true. Not that it matters. No woman should be forced to give birth.
A woman controls her own body. No forced pregnancy-no forced birth. Women become pregnant from their own actions.
Nobody cares about other people having sex. People care that a baby is being killed.
Actually women become pregnant by men's actions. So using your logic- women should all become lesbians and have sex with each other. No pregnancy can occur unless we visit the sperm bank. I'm sure men would be 100% OK with this. And conservatives will be fine with women either abstaining or becoming lesbians?

Irresponsible ejaculation is the issue.
Mandatory vasectomies would solve many problems.
So the whole my body my choice shtick is just shtick. Really you don’t care about any human having bodily autonomy.
Getting testy now that your body is the one that’s threatened, huh?
No, I am a woman. But bodily autonomy is just a shtick for you. It’s all a game.

It isn't the child's fault- they didn't choose to be born into such circumstances and they are the ones punished.
So women who can’t abort, they neglect and abuse their own child and punish the child for being conceived? Do the mothers know that the child didn’t choose to be conceived? You make mothers/women sound awful. If they can’t abort their child, they abuse and neglect the child, who eventually turns out to be a criminal!
I am disgusted by the way women and babies are being painted by dcum in this thread. It sounds racist. It sounds like dcum thinks women are terrible people who will abuse their own child, and a baby who can’t be aborted will be a criminal. WTF!
Now you're just being obtuse. There is a direct correlation between poverty and crime:
https://www.prisonlegalnews.org/news/2018/dec/7/brookings-institute-study-finds-direct-connection-between-poverty-and-crime-rates/
As cited in an earlier post, one of the top reasons why a woman wants an abortion is that she can't afford the child. Clearly not every unwanted child will become a criminal, but you can't tell me that the odds are high of them having a stable childhood. Poverty is not good for society. Why would you want to perpetuate the cycle?
Poor babies are just as important as wealthy babies. You are advocating for eugenics. And everyone here is fine with it. Unbelievable. Now I know for sure when a pp called unborn babies rodents or cockroaches and no one called them out on it, why. Because UMC liberals want to use minority voters, but actually despise them.
Yes, black and brown babies should get a chance to choose their lives.

Yes. I’ve seen it in multiple Catholic families.
The parents barely interact with the youngest kids. After the first few, the following kids were not wanted and were not treated well at all. One family actually gave away their youngest kid to friends because they just had too many kids.
In America, you can’t give children away.

Do you think parenting can be stressful? Do you think having to move frequently because women lose their jobs and get evicted, might be stressful? What do you think is the effect on women undergoing great stress with not enough resources? Do you think they might have to accept whatever daycare fits their price, including some random neighbor who works under the table? Do you think this might be an environment where kids are more likely to be abused and/or preyed upon by “babysitters” or parents who are overwhelmed?
So because this scenario exists: we kill babies. Really? Rich families have kids who get preyed upon by bad people. Such awful things exist in every socio-economic level of society. We don’t kill a baby because his or her life may have less than perfect circumstances! look around, nobody has a perfect life. And you don’t get to decide what kind of a life is acceptable for a baby to be born into!
