Traumatic event for the kids and mom and staff on the plane. You can’t undo or unsee someone’s rage and abuse. No kid can or will. It will erase 1000 good moments and be the one that sticks. It negates the others in a big big way.
Agree with this. I also think the emotional abuse continued after the split, and that she can prove she tried to come to terms with his buying out her share of the business. The kids are not stupid, they saw how much stress this caused her. Considering what he did to the family, seems like he was a real @sshole after the fact too. From another website:
"on March 12, 2021, in the couple’s child custody case, Jolie submitted under seal (meaning no member of the public could see any portion of it except the document title) an “Offer of Proof and Authority re Testimony Regarding Domestic Violence.” This filing apparently enraged Pitt, and in response to that submission, on March 26, 2021, Pitt’s team notified Jolie’s team that Pitt was “stepping back” from the Miraval deal."
He talked a good "mea culpa" game but doesn't seem his actions backed it up. You'd think he'd be deeply mortified about the pain and fear he caused his family, and would do anything to make it up to them.
I've now read her cross-complaint. One heartbreaking detail really rang true--when he finally fell asleep on the plane after his rampage she begged the kids not to respond to any of his attacks, no matter what happened. Horrible.

Yes, being accused of Domestic Violence enraged him, as it would anyone. During the entire scorched earth and mostly-public divorce, Pitt has remained silent and has tried to do things quietly and amicably, for the sake of the children. Jolie has chosen the other route.

There's always 3 sides to every story: his version, her version, and then the truth. I don't doubt she believes this story.
It's hard not to believe she's bitter about Brad: his career is booming right now, he suffered no ill consequences due to what happened (whatever that was), and now he's suing her for breach of contract.
What does this story and her releasing it at this time even have to do with the winery lawsuit?
She’s explaining why their deal for him to purchase her half fell apart, says he walked away because she wouldn’t accept a gag order. She didn’t want to be forced to remain in business with him, especially since she never had any say in it, so sold to the Stoli group.
This should be easy to prove, if he’s lying about her unwillingness to sell to him. I think she’s telling the truth. I think he’s the golden boy who’s never had to account for his bad behavior (see Angelina taking all the heat for Jen A).
The thing is, she was a crazy mother before this. And after this. So while yes, many of us believe this happened and that Brad did this - it doesn't suddenly make her into a good mother.
And also, she's broke and he's not. So she has all sorts of financial motives for the latest release.
How so? More permissive and indulgent, yes. Like millions of other parents. I personally was sympathetic to his desire to impose more stability and discipline. But crazy? Be specific with your evidence, please.
We don't know that she was a crazy mother but I think it's a fair statement that their parenting philosophies are quite different - he wants a more conventional settled upbringing, and she wants a nomadic lifestyle with no real anchors to location or routine. No one is wrong or right, they are just different.
Right, so zero excuse for him to go on a batshit rampage terrorizing his family.
It actually resulted in some of them going to high school for a few years - so a win for the kids, after one of the divorce judges required it.
Good for him.
Good for him, seriously? That's at best a silver lining in a truly awful situation he caused. The pro-Pitt stans here are nuts.

more stability and discipline so he goes on an abusive rampage? Just... no.

Simply not true, but she wasn't as liquid because most of her assets were tied up in the winery. Why isn't she entitled to exit a business she had no meaningful role in to do as she likes with her millions? Especially involving an ex she now hates, seemingly for good reason?

Totally agree! She has tried to ruin him over + over. She is mad that she is old + cannot attract anyone; whereas, he can still attract countless women.
Tell me you don’t like women without actually using g the phrase What an anti-view of women you possess.
