Just consider the consortiums as equally bad regardless if they actually use the term. Nobody really wants to go to those schools if they can avoid it. All options make Woodward a DCC and WJ wins out

Only Blair and Wheaton have advanced classes so many kids choose those vs. their home school because of it. If they want to fix it they need to have more advanced classes at every school.
False.
Its not false, we are in the DCC. Our school has NO science AP's and math ends with Calc BC. They don't have music AP and other things either. So, you compare what Blair and Wheaton and other schools like WJ the schools aren't close to equal.
Maybe your kid stoped at Calc but for those of our kids who want more advanced math, science, engineering, computer science, etc. it sucks.
I'm an Einstein parent too. But you said: "Only Blair and Wheaton have advanced classes." That is misinformation. All the schools have a selection of advanced classes, including AP and/or IB. Blair and Wheaton have STEM academies and magnets, so obviously they will have classes other schools do not. This may all be moot after the program analysis and boundary study anyway.
Ib is not equal to ap. There are no ap sciences classes. There is no math after calc bc. They have some, but not if your kid is on a faster track. At Einstein the VP and guidance counselor discouraged ours from taking ap classes at all.

IB is generally considered stronger than AP, around the world. At IB schools, kids are encouraged to take IB classes. If you're in the DCC and don't want an IB school, there are three non-IB schools available.

I live in WJ and if you do too you are a jerk expressing these comments. Of course i suspect you are a troll looking to fire up the east vs west BS. Find another hobby ffs
Woodward is too far for most kids in DCC. Many of us prefer those schools which is why we didn't pick your neighborhood.
You picked it bc it's cheaper to live there. It's cheaper to live there because it's less desirable. You didn't pick it because of the quality of the schools. If your parents valued quality of schools perhaps you would be more educated and realize that
This a very rude thing to say and you should stop. It isn’t true and again it is very rude.
I suspect you are a troll looking to fire up the east-west BS. Find another hobby ffs.

Go move to DCC if you desire those schools. You're rich enough for Ashburton and you enjoy your kids going to school with whites.

sorry for being dense, but if a school in the DCC doesn't have the classes desired, is it possible to just lottery to a desired school? does that only work if you 'win' the lottery?

Only on dcum does anyone seem to think Blair is an undesirable school. I picked our neighborhood for a lot of reasons and the housing wasn’t cheap.
