Per China’s Xinhua News and Turkish news site Haberler:
Explosions have now been heard over Baghdad. Iran is now bombarding the U.S. Basra military base.
And major U.S. defense contractor KBF in Baghdad has been “engulfed in blames”.
This is retaliation for the U.S. bombing of a desalination plant in Iran, destroying the water supply to 30 villages.
Spot the difference: the U.S. and Israel first bomb civilian infrastructure. Iran retaliates by first bombing military infrastructure.
And 👇
Note:
The six GCC countries hold ~45–60% of global desalination capacity, making it the most desalination-dependent region on Earth. E.g., Kuwait is dependent on desalination for 90% of its drinking water.
Desalination plants are strategic national-security targets and an overlooked vulnerability.
It connects to the water warsI wrote about last year: THE major geopolitical stressor of the 21st century, though most fighting won’t be directly over water itself.

It’s the same play book as Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, etc. I wish the US was the good guys but it is obvious we are not. This is Israel and maga’s corrupting influence.
A country’s military is a direct reflection of the society it serves, embodying its values, diversity, and cultural norms. What has the US become?
My god, you can't be serious. Now tell us about who you think the "good guys" are here. Iran?? Tell us about their values and cultural norms and how moral they are. This should be good. Anonymous wrote:@Rengenfuturist

You would not be satisfied with any source I could provide. If the source was from the US or Israel you would say they are lying. The only source you would be happy with would be Iranian and they sure as hell are not going to admit that they are running out of fire power.
You actually believe anything the US or Israel says? How could you be this naive or gullible?
LOL. And you believe the propaganda from Iran and Palestine.
Talk about gullible.

The complete lack of critical thinking by some of these posters is frightening.
DP the complete swallowing of Israel and US propaganda by you is shocking. 13 hospitals in Iran targeted, a girl school blown up and then hit again when parents are digging to recover their children bodies.
The US and Israel are out of interceptors and begging the Ukrainians to help. The Iran can make 10,000 drones and around 100 ballistic missiles in a month.
Do the math. Since June of 2025 Iran has been making drone and missiles. They have made 70,000 drones and 700 ballistic missiles since July of 2025. This is in addition to existing stocks piles. Now they will make drone manufacturing a priority. The launching platforms are very easy to build. Again the US is using $300,000 missiles to destroy a launch platforms that cost about $300 to make.
Oh and big problem with an air bombing campaign. They alway over estimate their successes.
This is not even close to being over. If the straights are not open in 2 weeks the world energy markets crash. Do you think the Irans can last two weeks? Do you think Israel and the US can weather world energy markets crashing?
You need to wake the f up.
Fact check: No credible evidence that 13 hospitals were targeted. A few hospitals (nowhere near 13) received some collateral damage as IRGC facilities adjacent to them were bombed, or as a result of secondary explosions due to IRGC weapons stockpiles detonating after being hit. NONE were deliberately targeted. No evidence of that, and anyone saying that is just parroting IRGC propaganda.
And again, IRGC is to be blamed as much as anyone for nestling military facilities and weapons stockpiles in the midst of civilian infrastructure. There is no legitimate reason for using civilians and civilian infrastructure to shield military targets.
Here's the thing. We've already seen what Israel did to Gaza. Your disinformation campaign is ineffective and boring.

What about US or Israeli leadership makes you think they're telling the truth about anything?

Iran is bigger than Alaska and nearly as mountainous. There are 92 million people in Iran, including more than a million soldiers who know every mountain valley. I'm the parent of a soldier. Sending in the 10th is a suicide mission in the age of drones. Does no one follow the war in Ukraine? Iran is a much, much more difficult terrain.
Honestly, do you think Israel cares? As Benny Gantz said, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity so American boots on the ground cannot be ruled out.
Israel has started bombing Iran’s oil facilities. Both sides have avoided this because the oil facilities throughout the gulf are largely unprotected and very vulnerable to drone attacks.
Also Tucker is reporting Trump is being given polls that shows 90% support for this war. Yipes! This is not going to end soon. High likelihood of US troops being deployed.

I know. I just can't take it that our government is taking action against an Iranian regime who has killed Americans and sponsors terrorism across the region and the world![]()
Iran is a sovereign nation, other nations must be allowed to develop missiles, warheads, and nuclear weapons. This American christo-fascist imperialism is beyond the pale.
/satire
Does anyone seriously believe that allowing sponsors of terrorism to have missiles and nuclear weapons is a good idea? All of the other gulf countries support this. Are people posting here really braindead, or just naive children? Crazy times.
Iran certainly sponsored terrorism against US targets in the 1980s and 90s. I'm not aware of Iranian sponsored terrorist attacks against the US in the last twenty years. If we are really about "real politik" and just caring about US interests, we would have been better off just leaving them alone.
