Do you honestly think that WestPo, Woodson, and FSR should be in the top 8 rankings, over Langley, Oakton, SL? That's how the state player tourney brackets worked out, but the tourney bracket was not the 8 best teams, merely the 2 teams that qualified from the 4 regions.

Not sure but Battlefield’s goalie deserves 1st team Region B and WestPo goalie in Region C. Well deserved for McLean’s goalie getting 1st team in Region D.

Woodson is a regional runner up and a state qualifier (congrats), but not a top 8 ranked team.

That's one way to look at it. However, I think most of us were trying actually name the 10 best teams. Who would beat who if they actually played each other. We have some results to directly answer those questions. The major issue is that #1 & #2 (YT/Mad) took out #3 (Oakton) and #4 (Langley) in regionals. You can't completely discount Oakton and Langley because they were in a much more difficult region. There's a legitimate argument for Langley at 3 or 4 because they beat BF h2h. BF beat Oakton h2h, so they win out there. Who would be favored if Cosby played Oakton? Would be a great game.
