Also add … it could also mean that Trump attorneys Bobb and Corcoran are about to be brought in by FBI to answer some questions about obstruction since they both provided false statements to the FBI about the existence of classified docs at Mar-a-Lago. Either way, this timing of this story is just as important as the content.

My H asked the same thing. I think it’s because just an obstruction charge will appear like a small crime to the MAGA crowd and they will go all in on this being a witch hunt - which 3 years ago we all would have said so what, big deal, but post January 6th who knows what will happen. You can even see the groundwork for that claim from the likes of Rubio saying this is just a “storage” issue. I think the DOJ wants to get him on the underlying crime of espionage. Show the world this man is a traitor once and for all and ensure he never holds public office again. We are teetering on the brink and the Executive Branch knows it and realizes they only have one shot at this.
