That’s more lopsided than I expected. How many points for the kid chasing the public school record?

Weird amount of love for a BF team who is 2-5 against competent lacrosse teams

1-6 actually

I actually think their defense is more of an asset than their offense. They force it and turn it over in the middle of the field and on offense more than most of the good teams in this area. If BF plays better defense than their first couple outings and their goalie goes 50% they should win. Any of the top contender coaches in 6a, Madison, Robo, YT, Cobsy will be able to gameplan very well against Indy.

I cant disagree with you more. They and Battlefield are the only two team I have watched that generate consistent offense. What I see is that what you may call mediocre shots are just dump-ins and easy goals. I have been on the forum for several years and have noted that far too many kids these days think a 15+yard high to high is a good shot. There is a reason the PLL gives 2 for a 15+yd shot, as they are low percentage.
Having watched them a ton last year in 5 an d enough this year, you will not shut them down and game plan, as they have 9 players on the field that can and will score on you at any given time. They remind me of Riverside a few years back.

Good luck out there in FFX and class 6, Indy will win states this year.

While I agree that too many kids these days take 15 yard step downs, they aren’t the worst quality of shot at the high school level with high school goalies. The biggest difference between high school and college/ppl is the consistency and the skill of goalies; that is why they are rewarded with 2 points for what may not be the worst take in high school.

MaxPreps has it

Indy (16.9) over Battlefield (11.5)
Yorktown (13.9) over Oakton (9.2)

Tomorrow:

Langley (10.8) over Maidson (10.4), or is that a push?
Robinson (12.7) over Woodson (7.8)
West Potomac (8.4) over Fairfax (7.2) but the number of WestPo parents with noisemakers is 25.3.
Those MaxPrep "predictions" aren't predictions. If the people who entered scores for earlier MaxPrep games did it by quarter, then it is reflecting the average number of goals they score per quarter. The more scores for each team that were just entered as finals (with no quarter breakdown), the further off the 'prediction' is (thus Langley appearing to be favored over Madison, Robinson only being 'favored' by 5 over Woodson, and West Potomac only being 'favored' by 1 over Fairfax).

Too sloppy with the ball to win states I think. Their defense is good though. We’ll see. Fun time of year.

Langley over Madison by any amount is questionable. Everything else sounds on point, including WestPo noisemaker over/under.

Not sure why it has that score.

https://www.maxpreps.com/games/5-29-2026/lacrosse-26/james-madison-vs-langley.htm?c=S6y39uoWEUy0V1CyUM3AbQ#tab=matchup&schoolid=

I do like the format of their match up previews.

Looking at it more, I think it's because Madison doesn't have detailed stats, and Langley does.

The "Team Stat Comparison" is blank for Madison, despite the "Common Opponents" having all the relevant data. And the opponent data obviously points to a Madison win.

https://www.maxpreps.com/va/lacrosse/25-26/region/concorde/?leagueid=cb357f22-6b94-4dd3-be2f-f4c28a830ae2

Madison has only given up 68 goals all year. Langley scores a lot more, comparatively, but also gave up 129 goals. That could be in some blowout wins but that seems to point to a Madison win.
