the distance from Farmland ES to Kennedy is something like 6.5 miles.
But the cost of sticking it to west county is priceless. That is what is driving most of the east county oh but we care about people and you just want to hoard BS
notably, option 3 buses lots of kids far distances. It isn't just west county.
but I agree that just wanting to see people hurt for not benefit is not a good look.

I think this diversity exercise is uncovering a lot of inequities that need to be addressed.
But this is so divisive. The boundary changes don’t need to be so divisive.
The Crown study doesn’t have a super divisive option 3 with long distance bussing like Woodward does. Why is that? (I get that they are upset anyways but at least there is no plan to bus kids 45 minutes.)
How long is your kid's bus ride currently?
5-10 minutes to WJ
Great, so the bus to Kennedy will only be 15-20 minutes
Hardly. Try that trip yourself. And then look at the lovely bike lanes and sidewalks we have that people and kids actually use to walk or ride bikes to Woodward. Easy access for ALL our families, including those without cars.
Have you ever tried this trip yourself? Maybe give it a try.
Umm yes, often. My kid had practice over there. Nightmarish traffic.
Yes going east in the afternoon is rough. Thankfully the bus will be going west in the afternoon.
